Hello, my name is Jennifer! I’m 16 years old and currently a student at Lowell High School. One thing you should know about me is that singing is my passion, so I present to you… Jenn’s Jams!
I think a person’s taste in music and musical style can say a lot about them, so by listening to me, I am hoping that you will get to know me better. Mostly, I will post covers, but maybe if you stick around long enough I’ll be able to put out some original tunes!
Music plays a big role in everyone’s life. It’s what makes you and your friends pumped up in the car during a roadtrip, and it’s what makes you feel relaxed when you’re sitting at a cafe doing work. It’s what keeps you company on the long bus ride home and what keeps you from feeling isolated, but most of all, music is what gets you back up on your feet when life deals you a bad hand.
Victor Hugo has a quote that says, “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.” I’m not too great with words. Hopefully, giving my posts a listen will help you understand me better. So go on! Click the play button and give it a shot. I hope you enjoy listening to my music as much as I enjoy making it. Cheers!
I spent a lot of time thinking about what I should cover for my first song, and decided that I should start with a song I knew well and was comfortable with. The radio’s obsession with Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved” has died down a bit since 2004, but it feels different now that I’ve grown up and matured a bit. Music is a form of art, and there’s another quote that says, “Art isn’t supposed to look nice, it’s supposed to make you feel something.” Adam Levine does an amazing job as a lead singer in making this song sound so distinctive, and his voice still gives me chills. “She Will Be Loved” has so much depth and meaning to it. Here’s my version: I hope you enjoy this beautifully written song and my own spin on it. Comment below and let me know what you think!
