The Story Behind the Purchase: These were on my ‘must have’ list ever since images first surfaced about the rumored release. I was so excited and anxious the night before the release, that I barely got any sleep. I knew these would sell out in no time, due to the limited quantities produced by Nike Brand. It was 4:50 AM PST, and i rolled out of bed, jumped onto the computer, and waited nervously until the clock struck five. As soon as it was time, I did the fastest clicking and “Add to Cart”-ing I have ever done and soon enough, poof, they were in my cart! I was amazed that I was able to obtain a pair. Fast forward to one week later. They arrived at my house via UPS and I was in utter disbelief to have these in my possession.
My Opinion: I absolutely love how they decided to paint over a classic pair of Jordan 1’s. The fact that the white paint wears off with everyday wear is even more astounding to me. Never before have I seen such a shoe with that type of concept. I definitely plan on keeping and wearing these in the near future, simply so I can “customize” them to have my own special design.
