Hey guys!
Taylor Swift’s album 1989 just came out on October 27, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. Today’s cover is none other than “Blank Space,” –– both the second track and single on the album!
I have listened to and loved Taylor Swift ever since I was little. I remember being in elementary school and my brother playing “Teardrops On My Guitar” and “Invisible” on the mixtape his friend made him. This was back when Taylor’s music was still very country-based, with the good ol’ banjo in the background of songs like “Picture To Burn” or “Should’ve Said No.”
Although lately her music has had more of a pop feel, I still love it. So far, I don’t think there’s a single Taylor Swift album I’ve disliked, and to be honest, I don’t think there ever will be one. The first time I finished listening to all the songs on 1989 I picked out “Blank Space” as one of my favorite songs and ended up being really surprised when I found that it was actually a single off the album, with a music video that came out the next day.
I really enjoyed recording this song, because it has a really playful and happy feeling — plus it’s interestingly enough the first originally female song I have covered at Sunset Media Wave. Hope you like it!
