Since these cold, winter nights are coming up, I hope most of you know that it is important to make sure your skin is exfoliated and healthy. It is common for most people to have dry, flaking skin during winter time, since it’s so cold. I was shopping around my local Ulta store looking for skincare products that would help with my dry skin problems. I was hoping that I could get my hands on a Clarisonic, but sadly it was $99, which is way out of my budget.
Luckily, I stumbled upon the Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System, which was affordable and claimed to do the same things that the Clarisonic would do, so I thought I’d give it a shot. This kit comes with the Microdermabrasion applicator, batteries, and 12 little blue microderm puffs that last a month, but are refillable, and can be purchased at your local drug store.
I am so happy I with this product because it really does exfoliate and my skin, leaving it as smooth as a baby’s bottom. This product gives me some really great exfoliation, and leaves a clean feeling without irritating the sensitive, dry skin.
At the end of the end of the day when I remove my makeup with wipes, I like to apply some Cetaphil Daily Cleanser onto the puff attached to the device in order to get the best exfoliation, to fully cleanse, and to remove all my makeup. After scrubbing my face, I wash off the cleanser with warm water. I recommend always washing your face with warm water, since it opens your pores. After I dry my face with a clean towel, my skin looks slightly more pink, but that is just temporary. My skin feels incredibly smooth and clean afterwards, and this is even more noticeable when I wake up in the mornings after I use this product.
I absolutely love that the puff is a single-use, and disposable. This means that everything is guaranteed clean, and bacteria free, since you will not be reintroducing the same puff to your face again. The puff that comes with the Microdermabrasion System sticks on the device in a velcro-like attachment, which is very easy to use.
I am very pleased with how well this product worked withmy skin. I bought this product hoping that my acne scarring, and dark spots would be removed, and that my pores will disappear. I noticed that after a month of using this product that the dark spots on my face started to brighten up, and my pores are even smaller than they were before. I will definitely continue to use this product in the future.
