Hello world! My name’s Aremi and this is my column City Beats for my very first session at Sunset Media Wave. For all of my posts I’ll choose a song, get inspired, and create some art! Each post with will feature the final project, the song I used for inspiration, and maybe a couple of sketches of my thought process.
I spend almost every single second of my day listening to music and I usually have a new song stuck in my head weekly. With that said, fate will be the one choosing my songs, but as a sneak peak here are some of my favorite artists: J. Cole, Harry Styles, G-Eazy, Jhene Aiko, and J Balvin.
I’m a 17 year old Latina living in San Francisco. In my free time I enjoy exploring the city, going on hikes, and o draw of course. I also happen to procrastinate a lot by doing my make-up at 1:00 am, whether it be an every day look or something you would not want to wear in public. Anyways, I hope you’ll be able to get to know me more through my posts as well as enjoy them as I discover new beats!
