Sometimes it is nice to stop and recall experiences, people, and places that are special to us. For my column I will be doing exactly that, reflecting on my life and creating art inspired by the emotions I feel when I look back on significant moments. With each post I will explore a different location or memory that has stuck with me throughout my life. Using my photography, drawings, and other doodles I will create pieces that captivate my thoughts and what spirals around in my head when I feel nostalgic. For example, some experiences that stick out to me are my trips to my grandparents’ cabin in Canada: where I recall my grandmother’s pine trees and the constant smell of books. I also want to encourage others to reflect on their own important memories and experiences.
