Half Vietnamese half American children were used as one way tickets into the United States. Many people would try to claim that these My Lai children were their nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and so on to escape the aftermath of war.
In my GIF, people are tug the baby in the basket so they use him to get to the United States and under this pressure, the baby splits in half and opens up the entry way to the States.
