Welcome to my first project here at Apex After Apex where I will be depicting the same scene with a different medium in each post. Today I’m beginning with a medium that I’m already comfortable with: pen and paper. As common tools for the average person, pen and paper are familiar to just about everyone; using them, we jot down notes, complete assignments and crank out homework (because there’s always that one teacher that tells you to do homework in pen). Drawing my first picture with a familiar medium means that I will be progressing into new territory in the weeks ahead, so you may be looking at my masterpiece right at the beginning! That being said, the purpose of this column is more about experimentation than perfection. I hope you’re up for the challenge!
