This is Yams the Puddle Monster and the second monster in my column Clay of the Dead. He often hides in puddles (hence the name) but unfortunately due to the dirty, polluted water of the city, he has been dyed black. Yams enjoys eating peppermint bark but hates the sound of dry leaves. He lives to jumpscare people by suddenly popping out of puddles, but its only a harmless prank, nothing more. There is a softer side to him though, if you just stop to say hello, he might take a liking to you.
