My illustrations were meant to explore mood through color and composition, with a character to suggest a narrative. The guide is just that; a guide, weaving lost travelers through the woods. In payment for their services, the guide has been given jewelry, books, and coins. Their favorite gifts from craftspeople include their artworks, intricate threads and designs for their cloak.
Sunset Media Wave is a Bay Area Community Resources program located at the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset district. We are funded by the SF Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF), the California Arts Council (CAC), and private donations.
