This animation is about my journey with prescription medication and how it takes a long ass time to work. I need medicine to keep me on track, but I’ve had to try many different types in order to get it right. I chose this song because it has the same vibe I had when the medication finally hit, which felt like mania. I use that term lightly because it is an actual medical condition and that’s just the best way I can describe it. I wanted to be careful about glorifying the period of “mania” that I depict in my animation because, while I felt kind of like a god, I became really annoying and impulsive.
