This is a sculpture of a whale shark made out of paper mache, using cardboard and trash to form the supportive body underneath. Whale sharks are becoming endangered and I created this piece to highlight the importance of repurposing trash from the ocean into pieces of art. The image is an accurate representation of the size of my sculpture, and thanks to the lightweight design and my magical powers, I am able to make it hover overhead for several minutes at a time.
