At the bottom of Orvieto, tucked behind highways and plum trees, lie dozens asleep. Two thousand year old naps remain undisturbed as plants and animals alike reclaim the space they call home.

The cats that now reside in the town and tombs have been here for generations, and will remain for generations to come, as the earth swallows the stone and bodies that were cut away from it.
