We say time passes but what happens while time passes? People can grow farther apart and some get closer, while some latch on to the branches of the past. Fortune Ties is a short film about revisiting the past, trying to fix it, and learning instead of leaving. Isa, the main character, embarks on a journey she has set for herself after reading an inspiring fortune. We see the characters’ friendships weaken as a result of their differing passions. Yet in the end, a new truth emerges that grows beyond what they once shared.
