The eyes are often called the window to the soul, and for me, music is the same. How I play, what I listen to, reveals who I am at my core. This mix of four songs is a reflection of my current abilities, and also a glimpse into where I want to go in life. The title *Eclipse Eyes* speaks to how our mental state can shift, and with the rising struggles around mental health and suicide, I wanted to show that even the hardest battles can be fought—like the sun disappearing during an eclipse, something so wild and otherworldly, yet still part of a larger cycle.
The four tracks—*Eclipse Eyes*, *Changing Colours*, *The Awakening*, and *Downhill Battle*—explore themes and ideas that resonate with my daily life. The first track, *Eclipse Eyes*, delves into the power of music itself—how it shapes us, how it can amplify our emotions, whether good or bad. This track is built around the chaotic back-and-forth of an unorganized playlist, jumping between different themes, each one pulling up feelings we often try to bury.
The second track, *Changing Colours*, is about the unpredictability of human nature. It’s about how people evolve unexpectedly, and how we adapt to those changes, sometimes reluctantly but always inevitably.
*The Awakening* represents that moment of clarity—a solution when you’re lost, when everything feels dark. It’s about finding that light at the end of the tunnel, your personal “awakening” that sparks a new sense of hope.
Lastly, *Downhill Battle* is about the struggle to defend something that ultimately doesn’t serve you. It’s the internal conflict where your need to be right pushes you to fight for something you don’t even believe in, proving things you’d rather not be true.
