Woody is back!! This time, Woody and I have travelled somewhere closer than Japan but still far away—New York. I split up the pictures from our trip into two posts, so be sure to check back for more later!
Brooklyn
Since my friend Sam and I stayed in Brooklyn, we decided to explore the area. We happened to pass by Barclays Center on our way to try out Shake Shack (I would insert a picture here but I forgot to take one) and Sam was super excited to find that the NBA Draft was being held there.
Midtown Manhattan
My friend William also happened to be in New York, so Sam, Sam’s sister Stephanie, Woody, and I met up with him at Ippudo Westside to eat some ramen. The ramen, while expensive ($15), was totally worth it. Afterwards, I tried coffee at a small cafe nearby. While the latte didn’t taste like lavender at all, it was still a pretty good latte.
After ramen and treats, we headed over to Times Square for pictures. I didn’t know what to expect, but it kind of felt like Union Square: crowded, full of name brand shops, and a lot of construction. I did, however, really enjoy going into the giant Disney store.
Of course, I couldn’t go to Times Square without visiting the Nintendo NY store a few blocks away. The decor was so cute and there was a wide variety of plushies to spend all of your money on.
We happened to pass by Trump Tower on the way to Central Park… So of course, we had to take a picture!
Central Park
Let me just start off by saying that Central Park is amazing. Maybe it’s because of the fact that they have water, but the park is full of lush greenery and cool places to chill. Plus, the walking paths are lined with benches for people to sit, and food vendors with cheap hot dogs and ice cream.
Gotham West Market
My friend Sam happened to find this food market while Googling good places to eat. Apparently there are tons of indoor markets around New York with vendors selling food, art, and more!
