2017 has been an amazing and crazy year for me. Although it was fun, I have to admit that I cannot wait for 2018. And though 2017 was a wild year for me, 2018 is going to be even more insane (especially after I graduate in the spring). As the end of the year approaches, I’m starting to reflect back and look forward. With that in mind, here is a wish list of the places I hope to visit in the coming years.
JAPAN
I may or may not have an opportunity to go Japan over the summer, but either way, it’s been one of my dreams to go ever since I got obsessed with Hello Kitty in fourth grade. I dream of walking around Tokyo and seeing all the cool and crazy things, like those vending machines that sell unusual items around the city.
PARIS
The Eiffel Tower has been calling my name for as long as I can remember. I can recall my mom Facetiming me from the Eiffel Tower when I was in seventh grade and I was amazed at the twinkling lights that came from the most famous landmark in the world. I hope I’ll be able to eat a macaron in a little cafe next to the Eiffel Tower one day.
AMSTERDAM
When I saw a picture of colorful houses next to a canal on Instagram, Amsterdam soon rose to the top of my bucket list. I especially want to go during autumn because of the weather and the leaves.
PRAGUE
Honestly, I don’t know much about Prague, but I’ve seen so many pictures of it and it’s absolutely beautiful. I saw one photo of a huge Christmas tree next to the St. Nicholas Church and I fell in love with the thought of going during the winter time. Given the opportunity, I would go during the winter time because of all the decorations that are put up next to the churches there.
NEW YORK CITY
I have been to the Big Apple, but only for two days and that’s not nearly long enough to explore New York City. I really want to go back for the food in all honesty. In particular, I really want to go to Black Tap to have one of those “freakshakes” and the Cookie Dough Cafe to try all things made of cookie dough.
SEATTLE
I have been here before too, but it’s been more than 10 years. I’ve always loved the cozy vibe I feel each time I look at pictures of this city. Also, I really want to visit the first Starbucks there since I’m a coffee addict.
