When The Wave chose Time Candy as our theme for the zine and the cycle, I thought about people who have been sweet to me throughout my life. After contemplating on this sugary theme for weeks, I decided toI draw my closest friends over the course of my adolescences, with each being represented by a different color.
Red is a ball of fire, igniting inspiration for me to do better.
Orange represents an eyesore that you can’t look away from.
Yellow is a ball of sunshine, full of energy
Green is my dream of traveling to distant lands, and the desire to discover places beyond my immediate reach.
Blue is like the sky: comforting but unreachable.
Purple is my favorite; a color that I can’t get enough of.
